Landon Richie is a transgender boy in Houston who is thriving because of the unconditional love of his family. Around the age of 11, Landon began to question his gender identity and started thinking more deeply about the things he was feeling. Eventually, he realized he was transgender, meaning he was raised as a girl but knew himself to be a boy, and with great bravery, he decided to come out to his parents, who immediately accepted him and made their home a loving and safe place.

“I know people sometimes don’t understand what being transgender means,” Landon said. “All I can do is share my story and explain as best I can, and I’m lucky to have a supportive family and parents that have always stood behind me.”
